Aosta Valley: the smallest and highest region in Italy!
Its surface area of 3,266 km² represents one hundredth of the Italian territory.

It is an alpine region, surrounded on all sides by high mountains and ancient glaciers. Moreover, one third of its territory is at an altitude of over 2,600 metres. There are both steep slopes and high altitude climbs. It is the ideal region for mountain sports activities: mountaineering, climbing, skiing, rafting, trekking, canyoning, mountain biking, etc.
