Kitzbühel, the Austrian Tyrol celebrates the arrival of spring and Easter traditions

Kitzbühel, Austria's Tyrol celebrates spring and Easter traditions

As the winter season slowly draws to a close, the world's best ski area in 2022 once again put on a show with not one but two World Cup downhill ski races. If it's time to put away the skis, it's also time to take the bikes out of the shed!

The ERIKA Boutiquehotel invites you to celebrate the arrival of spring in the purest Tyrolean tradition and provides you with electric bicycles and lunch baskets for a short ride in the mountains. Built in 1897 in the centre of the town, the Art Nouveau Garden Hotel is one of the most traditional and renowned hotels in Kitzbühel. Renovated with care and love, this boutique hotel uniquely combines architectural flair from the past century with the most modern comfort to satisfy the most demanding guests. Under one roof - or rather under the roofs, skylights and turrets of the complex, in the covered outdoor areas and under the foliage of the alleys - the Hotel Erika offers you the most beautiful aspects of Kitzbühel: nature and authenticity.

Just a 3-minute drive from the Hahnenkamm cable car, the hotel invites you to explore the peaks of the Tyrolean Alps by bike. Electric bikes can be rented on site, with a storage room and charging points.

The tour will start on 31 March 2023.
Kitzbühel is synonymous with history, traditions and tasty recipes, and has a whole programme of events for the whole family: making palm bouquets, decorating Easter eggs, making candles, baking traditional pastries, but also discovering the customs of the country and the landscapes of the region on themed hikes to local places of pilgrimage, the Kitzbüheler Horn, the Südberge, the Hahnenkamm.
The beautifully decorated village centres of Reith, Aurach and Jochberg, the spring scents of the markets, the flavours of Kitzbühel, the thematic stands, the traditional handicrafts, the live music awaits the visitors...
